To help the  community secure and maintain safe, affordable housing in Midland county for those in the low and very low income population.  

Arc Of MidlandThe Arc of Midland is a nonprofit organization which promotes the general welfare of people with intellectual and developmental disabilities and increases their presence, participation and inclusion in the community. 

City of Midland Community Development

The City's Planning Department is dedicated to providing leadership in achieving the public's vision of an ideal community. This is accomplished through the department's responsibilities.

Cleveland Manor Apartments: is a non profit apartment complex offering several subsidized rental options for extremely low to low income households.  The bulk of the apartments are designated for 62 plus with a few apartments for those under 62 with a disability. 

Community Mental Health of Central Michigan: To promote community inclusion and whole-person wellness through provision of comprehensive and quality integrated services to individuals with a mental illness, developmental disability, and/or substance use disorder. 

Disability Network of MidMichigan:  

Our Mission is to To promote and encourage independence for all people with disabilities​ and Inclusive and Accessible Communities that Provide Opportunities for Individual Choice.  

Home to Stay:  We help Midland County Residents in need sustain stable housing through education, advocacy and support services, promoting self-sufficiency.

Legal Services of Eastern Michigan:  Helps with Housing:  Evictions, lockouts or utility shutoffs, repair problems in rental housing, land contract and mortgage problems.

IMcKinney-Vento Midland, Clare, Gladwin.Subtitle VII-B of The McKinney-Vento Homeless Assistance Act authorizes the federal Education for Homeless Children and Youth (EHCY) Program and is the primary piece of federal legislation related to the education of children and youth experiencing homelessness. It was reauthorized in December 2015 by Title IX, Part A, of the Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA)

Midland Area Community Foundation

Most of us don’t have the ability to donate millions of dollars toward our favorite cause.  However, when a lot of people pool their resources together to work toward a common goal, amazing things are possible. That is the essence of a community foundation. We reflect and support our donors’ wide array of interests including arts and culture, economic development, education, environment, health, human services and recreation.

Midland County Habitat for Humanity

Homeownership: Works with local low to moderate income families to provide homeownership opportunities. Homes are sold to families through an affordable mortgage.

 Repair: Works with Midland County homeowners to provide needed repairs to their homes to continue to make their homes livable.

Midland Community Former Offenders Advocacy and Rehabilitation 

Our mission is to assist Midland Community former offenders by providing resources that help them become self-sufficient and break the cycle of crime.  

Michigan Veterans Affairs Agency : is the central coordinating agency, providing support, care, advocacy and service to veterans and their families. MVAA was created by Executive Order 2013-2 and began operations on March 20, 2013, the 10th anniversary of Operation Iraqi Freedom. MVAA is a state government agency and is housed within Michigan Department of Military and Veterans Affairs. 1.800.MICH.VET

MidMichigan Community Action Agency

Mid Michigan Community Action empowers individuals and families, strengthens communities and combats poverty by providing services, guidance, expertise and leadership.

MSHDA: Michigan State Housing Development Authority Housing Choice Voucher Program:  Is a federally funded program that provides rental assistance to help eligible, low-oncome households pay their rent. 

Open Door/House of Mercy

Midland’s Open Door has a rich history as a ministry committed to meeting people in their moment of need and transitioning them from a point of crisis to a posture of hope. This has been done, primarily, through the proclamation of the Gospel and by meeting basic needs through the practice of biblical hospitality.

We want to offer them stability and affordability and help them become integrated into the community.  

Salvation Army, Midland MI:  We offer the local programs to the local community, working to continually optimize their efficacy via spiritual, physical, and emotional service.  

Shelterhouse: is a non-profit organization committed to provide safety, shelter, advocacy and counseling to survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault. Serving both Midland and Gladwin counties, our efforts remain focused on the goal to eliminate violence in today’s society.

Regardless of how alcohol and other drugs are impacting your life, Ten16 offers effective programs that activate positive change.
